Managing Categories
The term "category" refers to a grouping of items. You could, for example, have a group named Specials Menu, Promotions Menu, and a group named Beverages, Desserts,Snacks etc.
In the Menu section, you can see two options; ADD NEW CATEGORY or IMPORT FROM CSV. If you already have a menu list or items in CSV, you may just import. But if you did not have any, just click manually the ADD NEW CATEGORY option.
There you can add the new category name and it will appear in your menu list. Don’t forget to click save.
If you wish to add new items under the category that you’ve created, just click on the big green + icon and you can easily add new items under the category. Just fill in all the details required and your items will be available right after you click save.
Many customers may be unfamiliar with unique dishes. A short menu explanation explaining the key elements of the dish may help customers decide what they want to order. You can also include images of the dish, but the dish must match the image description. In short, produce clear, straightforward content that customers will understand. You can edit your descriptions in your items description from time to time accordingly. This can also be applied to CATEGORIES update where it should be clear and understandable for your customers.
